Moving house is the best time to de-clutter and donate to charity. With this in mind, Bishop's Move Edinburgh offer all it's customers a chance to donate their unwanted items to the Chest Heart Stroke Scotland (CHSS). We simply give you some donation bags at the survey stage of your move for you to fill at your leisure and then collect and deliver them straight to the CHSS so that they can sell them in their shops - it's that easy!
Our moving consultants will be able to tell you more about our "De-clutter and Donate" scheme when they visit you at the home survey stage of your move. They will be able to discuss the items that the CHSS like to have donated and also give you some donations bags. You can then sort out any items that you would like to donate at your leisure. The CHSS is always looking to collect any of the following:
On the day of your move, your removal team will put these bags safely to one side of the vehicle whilst they pack and wrap the rest of your possessions up. If you need any extra donation bags during the moving process, just ask one of crew, as they always carry extra bags on the removals van.
Once they have safely moved you in to your new home, the crew will bring the donated items back to the Edinburgh branch. We will then arrange to deliver the donated items direct to the CHSS, or they will pop by and collect them, after which they sort the items to sell to raise money for their charitable research.
