Bishop’s Move Branch Managers undergo Digital Tachograph Training

As part of our internal training program, all of our Branch Managers are taking part in a Digital Tachograph Training on the 14th May, 2013. This is so that they have a greater understanding of how the Digital system works and what they have to do on a regular basis within the Road Haulage Association’s (the RHA) guidelines.

The Bishop’s Move Group considers road safety as paramount to it’s day-to-day operations and have been recently updating and refurbishing it’s vast vehicle fleet. The old system of analogue tachographs is being phased out and all of our existing vehicles are being fitted with the new digital system. 

All commercial vehicles covered by EU rules and first registered on or after 1 May 2006 must be fitted with digital tachographs. These are used to record the driving time, speed and distance and to make sure drivers, and employers, follow the UK & EU rules on drivers’ hours.
