Bishop's Move Makes an Obstacle of Itself

The 11th September, saw Bishop's Move Edinburgh supporting the 2016 Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland(CHSS) Roadblock Run by providing their longest lorry for the fun event. This year's run at Holyrood Park saw over 500 runners tackle the various fun, and sometime foamy, 7K obstacle course and, so far, over £40,500 being raised for the charity so far.

The run has more than 10 obstacles designed for competitors to slide, climb, scramble, crawl and laugh over as they find their way over inflatables, lorries, and tunnels. This year, Bishop’s Move Edinburgh provided a strategically placed vehicle on the course filled with a 'maze' of packing boxes as a fun obstacle for the runners to negotiate.

This is not the only time that our branch in Edinburgh works with the Chest Heart Stroke Scotland charity. Through our unique ‘Declutter & Donate' scheme, we offer Scottish home movers the chance to donate any unwanted items to the CHSS when they move house with us. On the day of the move the Bishop’s Move removals team will collect our customers unwanted items, which can range from clothes to electrical equipment, as part of the overall moving service. These are then given directly to the CHSS to sort, and sell on to raise much needed funds.

To see our removal van obstacle in it's full glory, or laugh at some of the competitors antics, visit the Roadblock Run's Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/RoadBlockRun.
