Bishop’s Moves Operations Director, David Guiel, took part in British Airways Run Gatwick charity event on the 12th May 2019 in support of Bishop’s Move Crawley’s local charity, Crawley Open House.
Crawley Open House helps homeless and disadvantaged men, women, couples and young people (plus their pets) by providing Direct Access and High Support Hostels and a Day Centre open every day of the year. It provides help, support, understanding and empathy and is totally non-judgemental, they help anybody. David chose to run to raise much-needed funds for Crawley Open House so they can continue to help the homeless and the vulnerable, completing the run in 1hr:53mins and 32 secs.
David is no stranger to running as has completed 15 Marathons including the London, New York, Barcelona, Malta, Paris and Cyprus Marathons and raising thousands of pounds for Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, in the process.
David comments ‘It’s great to get involved in something I really enjoy and raise money for worthy causes at the same time – a win-win situation.’
Chris Marshall, Sales and Marketing Director, comments ‘Completing 13 marathons is an impressive achievement and a great testament of David’s determination and commitment. ‘
