Celebrating 165 years of moving
24 Sep 2019

As the UK’s largest family owned and operated removals and storage company, Bishop’s Move has long been recognised for both its heritage and its eye-catching yellow removal vans. Established over 165 years ago by JJ Bishop in 1854, there was no better way to celebrate than by combining these two iconic features – we would like to introduce the newest addition to the Bishop’s Move 150 strong fleet.
This particular retro style 18 tonne removal van celebrates the company’s heritage of providing quality moves across the British Isles, Europe and internationally with a nod to the Art Deco vehicle livery that celebrated our centenary in the 1950’s.
“It was very important to us to conclude the recent modernisation of our fleet with a celebration of our proud heritage. This final addition to the refurbished Bishop’s Move fleet exhibits a livery based upon an era of Bishop’s Move operated by my Grandfather John Bishop and his cousin Donald Bishop.
The livery of these vehicles reflected sought after destinations for home removals and the service Bishop’s Move could provide, a clear incentive for members of the public whom were involved in the housing market and looking for a quality service.” – Neil Bishop, Chairman & BD Director Bishops Move.
