Bishop's Move Business Relocation team were pleased to be recently awarded the Move Management contract by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Wimbledon, to relocate their No. 1 Court. The famous grass court tennis venue has seen the likes of Murray, Djokovic and the William's sisters, as well as McEnroe and Navratilova, play on its turf, is currently in the process of building a closing roof similar to that of Centre Court. The organisers of The Championship were looking for a commercial relocation company that could ensure that as little disruption to the build and it's employees and visitors occurred - so they contacted our Business Removals team.
Once the initial details had been taken over our new Live Chat website platform, a room-by-room review took place on site at Wimbledon's No.1 Court. There followed a 3-week planning period to identify areas not to be disrupted by the building works and scheduling the release of the items in a sequential order once building works are completed in 2017 prior to the next Championships
Bishop's Move expert commercial relocation services were required to pack and export wrap all of the furniture from the suites at No. 1 Court and then remove the blinds, curtains and fitted units. These items were then relocated and repositioned into secure storage areas. We were also required to dismantle temporary commercial refrigeration units.
The entire business relocation took a 12-man team of professionally trained packers, 3 removal vans and 14 days to complete. Plus 15,300 metres of packing materials were used.
Bishop’s Move offers specialised removals and storage services for domestic and business customers, from small moves to international relocation. Contact our Business Relocation team for advise on your business move.
