Office relocation for animal pharmaceutical company.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown restrictions, following weeks of internal planning and review the original methodology for the move was adjusted to include our new robust procedures, to allow a safe return to work.

The planning process included new risk assessments and changing method statements to allow for the implementation of our new safety procedures, inline with UK Government and British Association of Removers guidelines. Only one representative from the company was on site per day as a point of contact and to sign off the move on completion. The remainder of the move was coordinated effectively by our in-house Business Relocation team using remote methods of communication.

The entire programme was adjusted by our expert project managers to allow 1.5 days of movement for non-essential storage items, followed by 2.5 days to dismantle, move and rebuild 104 desks in a new configuration.

As part of this 4 day commercial relocation, our professionally trained teams provided IT decommission & recommissioning services, moved 7 x meeting rooms, 63 cabinets, all associated personal effects and filing in over 300 crates - plus a full size fibreglass cow!

The Outcome

Despite the unexpected challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, this particular 4 day external relocation was comfortably completed to the client's brief, both on time and on budget.
