The Bishop’s Move Foden is back on the road this summer

Do you remember last year’s #SpotTheSteamer competition? Well, the Foden is back on the road again.

This time the Bishop’s Move steam wagon will be attending various shows and rallies throughout the summer, starting with the 52nd HCVS London to Brighton Run on May 5th, 2013.

The Foden HH steam wagon was built in 1929 and is one of only three in existence. On Sunday it will be driven by owner Gareth Jones, assisted by joint-fireman Ian Jones and our very own Business Development Director, Neil Bishop.

The HCVS London to Brighton Run is similar to the “old crocks race” that occurs in October, but is for historic commercial vehicles only. The Foden will start (very early) at Crystal Palace, with the aim to have enough steam to finish on Madeira Drive in Brighton.
