The HCVS London to Brighton 2014
21 May 2014

Bishop’s Move recently completed the 53rd Historic Commercial Vehicle Society Challenge from Crystal Palace to Brighton on the May 4th, 2014 in it’s 1928 Morris 1 tonne pantechnicon – affectionately known as “Sammy”!
Roger Bishop, Joint Chairman at Bishop’s Move, retires this year after 48-years with the company. He completed his final Historic Commercial Vehicle Society Challenge as an official Bishop’s Move employee surrounded by his family and future leaders of the business – his son, Neil (Business Development Director), his grandson, Thomas, 3, and granddaughter Flora, 6!
We took some fun video of Sammy, and some of the other commercial vehicles that took part the event this year, as they drove through Hassocks on their final leg to Brighton.
The Historic Commercial Vehicle Society London to Brighton run features restored historic commercial vehicles, buses, fire engines, vans and steam vehicles. This year, the event commemorated all those who lost their lives in the Great War 1914-18.
