Moving house? Declutter and Donate to charity at the same time.
Moving house can be a busy time, but it’s also a fantastic opportunity to declutter, recycle and reuse.
Whilst you are deciding what item is going where in your new home you are bound to come across some bits and pieces that you no longer want and are unsure what to do with – Bishop’s Move’s ‘Declutter and Donate’ scheme is the answer.
When you chose Bishop’s Move as your preferred removals company, we will give you a number of donation sacks for your local charity to fill at your leisure. We currently work with these fantastic organisations:
- Branching Out – Bishop’s Move Ely
- Helen & Douglas – Bishop’s Move Oxford
- The CHSS – Bishop’s Move Edinburgh
- The Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) – Bishop’s Move Exeter
- The Martin House Hospice – Bishop’s Move York
- The Children’s Trust Tadworth – Bishop’s Move Crawley
- Shooting Star Chase – Bishop’s Move Guildford
- Sense, Bishop’s Move Crawley & Bishop’s Move London
- St Wilfrid’s Hospice – Bishop’s Move Solent
All of our other branches can help you declutter and donate with the British Heart Foundation.
Simply fill the bags with any unwanted clothes, shoes and boots, bags, handbags and belts, books, CDs and DVDs, mobile phones, small electrical items, jewelry and other bric-a-brac. Some of these charities will also take furniture if up to modern fire standards. Then on the day of your move our removals crew will collect these bags and donate them directly to charity on your behalf. And if you need any more bags, just ask the foreman, as the crew will always have spares on board their vans.
It’s easy to declutter and donate at the same time.
By donating through Bishop’s Move, you can be sure that 100% of your donations go directly to charity. The money raised from the sale of your unwanted items will help them to raise much needed funds. It is also great for the environment as you are allowing these items to be reused and recycled, instead of being placed in rubbish tips. Plus you have managed to declutter your life a little too.
