Our Server Relocation Process

Server relocation as part of a wider commercial relocation is a hugely complex process. Add to that the crucial nature of the data stored by servers and the project becomes critical to the success of a new business location. Bishop’s Move understands this, and therefore, we prepare accordingly. We undertake the full scoping exercise before the relocation has begun, taking into account all logistical, technical, and business considerations. From all this, we can create a bespoke project plan for your requirements.

Our engineers label all the connectivity and power feeds, remove all the cabling, and ensure that servers are removed from the racks and into the server cases. Rails and cable management arms are labelled and removed, packed alongside the equipment. Server cases are loaded and secured to the vehicle. Vehicles have tracker systems so they can be monitored in real-time throughout transit to the new site. Server equipment is re-racked as per requirement, and cables are reconnected and managed. Equipment is then handed back to our client for power-up and testing.
